CEREC® is an acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. Translated, it means that a dentist can economically restore damaged teeth in a single appointment using a high-quality ceramic material that matches the natural color of other teeth.
The CEREC® technology has been successful for many years, and is a popular option in many dental offices across the globe. As of 2015, more than nine million restorations have been performed worldwide using CEREC® technology.
How Does CEREC® Work?
CEREC® uses CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology, incorporating a camera, computer and milling machine in one instrument. The dentist uses a special camera to take an accurate picture of the damaged tooth. This optical impression is transferred and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dentist uses CAD technology to design the restoration. Then CAM takes over and automatically creates the restoration while the patient waits. When ready, the dentist bonds the new restoration to the surface of the old tooth.
The entire process takes about one hour.
Benefits of CEREC® Technology
- Single visit convenience. Dentists no longer need to create temporaries or take impressions and send them to a lab. Because of this, the traditional second visit has been eliminated.
- Extremely precise. The CEREC® has over a decade of clinical research and documentation to support the technology. The restorations have been proven precise, safe and effective.
- Long-lasting, natural results. A tooth-colored restoration means no more silver fillings discoloring smiles. The filling is natural-looking, compatible with tissue in the mouth, anti-abrasive and plaque-resistant.
LUMINEERS are considered the comfortable way to showcase the beautiful, healthy, natural, permanently white smile in you!

Porcelain Veneers are the ideal choice for those interested in creating a more attractive and youthful looking smile. They are one of the most trusted options when pursuing the smile you’ve always dreamed about!
Our Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin, hand-sculpted facings made of extremely strong porcelain ceramic material, resulting in the most natural look and feel. When properly installed and maintained, porcelain veneers are a beautiful, long term solution for anyone seeking the perfect smile. Veneers are bonded directly to visible teeth to improve all of the following:
- Undesirable tooth shape
- Yellow or gray tooth color
- Tooth stains and discolorations
- Injury related cracks, breaks, or other damages
- Crooked teeth
Our cosmetic dentists recommend porcelain dental crowns because they are virtually impossible to distinguish from natural teeth. Porcelain crowns display with a natural vitality and depth, and a great overall beauty.
Similar to veneers, porcelain crowns can dramatically improve the appearance of your teeth; however, they cover the entire surface of the tooth which provides a strong structure that will prevent the cracking or breaking of any weaker, compromised teeth that they are adhered to. By strengthening these weaker teeth, they effectively reduce or eliminate pain, sensitivity, and difficulty with chewing and speaking.
In the past, crowns were built upon a metal core, enabling them to withstand the pressure of biting and chewing. However, that metal core often creates an unsightly dark line at the edge of many crowns. Recent dental breakthroughs, combined with the development of stronger porcelain materials, allow us to make crowns entirely out of porcelain. Porcelain crowns maintain a translucency that makes them nearly impossible to distinguish from natural teeth. Without metal, the problem of a dark line at the edge of the gums is eliminated. This allows us to place the edge of the crown above the gum line, which is also healthier for your teeth and gums.
If you need a dental crown, contact us to discuss the natural look and feel of an all porcelain dental crown.

Dental Bonding is the application of a tooth-colored composite resin, which is bonded directly to the tooth.
Bonding is utilized for a number of different reasons, mainly to repair a decayed, chipped, fractured or discolored tooth.
Unlike veneers which are manufactured in a laboratory and require a customized mold to achieve a proper fit, bonding can be done in a single visit to our office.
We compare the benefits of dental bonding to that of painting the interior of your home… You can make a huge improvement to appearance for a minimal investment of time and cost.
What is Dental Bonding Used For?
Bonding is among the easiest and least expensive of cosmetic dental procedures, with many functional uses:
- Improve the appearance of chipped or cracked teeth
- Close spaces in between two or more teeth
- Make one or more teeth appear longer
- Change the shape of one or more teeth
- Improve the whiteness of discolored teeth
- Protect the exposed root of a tooth caused by receding gums

Porcelain dental bridges can help you restore your smile when you have one or more missing teeth. As the name implies, this dental structure bridges the gap between remaining teeth.
Porcelain bridges are a popular choice because they most closely resemble replicate the look and feel of natural teeth.
While they may need repair or adjustment due to normal wear, dental bridges are very durable and generally last up to ten years or more.
Benefits of Procelain Bridges
Improve your smile by filling the gap left by missing teeth
Restore a youthful appearance by supporting the facial tissues
Prevention of unwanted shifting of the remaining teeth
Helps restore the ability to chew and speak naturally.
Getting a porcelain dental bridge usually requires two visits to our office. In between the first and second visit, a temporary bridge is crafted and put in place for your comfort and protection. If you need some time to get used to your new bridge, the dentist may use temporary cement and wait until you feel comfortable enough to permanently cement the bridge in place.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our porcelain bridges or to schedule a consultation.
